How Soon Is Now is about the eternal frustration of going out, and night after night, for the aim of something quite dramatically romantic happening, and repeatedly returning home without anything happening whatsoever and the frustration of grappling almost in the dark with the insane desire to meet somebody and form a bond with another person.
